Introduction
iLearn AI is an AI-powered learning platform that helps you study smarter. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide and the data generated by your use of the app:
- Account data: name, email, phone number (optional), date of birth, gender, country, language, learning stage, and profile image if you upload one.
- Sign-in data: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your stable account identifier from that provider. With Sign in with Apple we may also receive and store your email (or the Apple "Hide My Email" private-relay address, in the form privaterelay.appleid.com) on first sign-in only.
- Learning content: materials and files you upload, quizzes you create, your conversations with the AI assistant, bookmarks, and your group messages.
- Usage and activity: your study progress, goals, and in-app activity.
- Device and notifications: your push token (FCM) used to deliver notifications.
- Diagnostics and analytics: we may collect crash reports, performance, and usage data via Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) to improve the app’s stability and your experience.
- Subscription data: your subscription status and purchase identifiers. Payments are processed by the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe — we never store your card details.
How we use your information
- Operate the app, create your account, and sign you in.
- Generate quizzes, responses, and learning content tailored to your stage and materials.
- Manage your subscription and send payment receipts.
- Send notifications and alerts related to your account and activity.
- Improve the service, troubleshoot, and provide support.
- Protect the app from abuse and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
To generate responses, quizzes, and summaries, we send the content you provide (such as a quiz topic, your messages to the assistant, or attached material) to Google's AI service (Gemini) for processing and to return the result. We recommend you avoid entering highly sensitive or personal data into conversations or materials.
How we share information
We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers, and only as needed to operate the app:
- Google (Gemini): to process content and generate AI results.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: to process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Stripe: to process web payments (where available).
- Google Firebase: to deliver push notifications (FCM) and for crash reporting and usage analytics (Crashlytics and Analytics).
- Google / Apple sign-in: to verify your identity when you choose to sign in with them.
- Email provider: to send verification messages and subscription receipts.
- Legal authorities: where required by a legal obligation.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access and correct your data from the account settings.
- Delete your account and data entirely from within the app or by contacting us.
- Object to certain processing or withdraw your consent.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or send a request to support@learn-api.site and we will delete the data associated with your account.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as password hashing and secure transport. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International data transfers
Your data may be processed or stored on servers in countries other than your own. By using the app you consent to this transfer consistent with this policy.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for learners. If a user is a minor under the laws of their country, the app is expected to be used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we collected data from a child without the required parental consent, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.
